I hid some money in my freezer after selling my truck. Does that make it cold, hard cash?

at my mom's house in the back yard in a dirty sock and in a whole in the ground...why? don't ask.

I always keep my car locked and I never go any where with out my car, so I put money inside my Battery cable case in the trunk.
I feel like someone who wants money will take from the cash register, look for money in the office and go through my purse.I just don't think they would want to look in my car.
I have been told by the owners to keep $30.00 in the register and $30.00 in a Bank Bag and that is the maxium allowed in the office.
I work in retail and I am the only person here and sometimes I have a large amount of cash.
