i have to give a performance in front of my speech class..it has to be a movie clip, poem, excerpt from a book, song...and we have to use voice and expression, and maybe play a role and dress the part. any ideas of what will grab attention? its a 1-2 minute thing

msybe a funny movie part or song that has a really good verse...is madonna's "vogue" a bit too much for a fashionista like myself?

yeah guys i have to do this alone, so if there is some skit that has like 3 characters...i'd look pretty weird

Well, one of the funniest things I've seen was when a friend of mine dressed up one half of her body and a man and one half as a woman and sang a duet in two different voices. It was a Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers song. She would stand sideways one way for the woman and her voice, and turn the other way for the man and his voice. When she first came out, she showed us only one side so that we were totally surprised when she turned around to the other side.
It certainly caught my attention.

Are you allowed to work with a partner? If so, do a play. Look up Shel Silverstein poems....they're hilarious...do "Spaghetti"...or another option is look up "Father Williams". These are all funny poems sure to make people laugh.

do a movie clip......get ppl involved in it from your class and outside of class. Or give something out.....I once did the history of bubble gum and gave out peices of bubblegum.
