Keep in touch with him/her, by letter, email, or phone. When you're 18, if the two of you have kept in touch and are still friends, get your own car or a plane ticket and pay your friend a visit.
Not all wishes come true, and thank goodness for that. (I think we'd live in a terrible world if they did!) But some can, if you work to make them happen....

The only answer I can give is to try to stay in contact, and when you become old enough, go visit this person. Life has an ebb and flow just like the ocean, and sometimes these currents in time cast us up on some strange beaches. I'm not saying we're prisoners of fate, but there is a larger current running through our lives we aren't often aware of. These are the currents that may bring you and your friend together again.

I believe your question is : How can I make a wish real? The answer is you can't because you said that your friend will never come back.

who said your wish cannot be fulfilled? If the old friend never come back, no matter, why do you worry? If you have firm conviction that you can get back him by feeling his physical presence. It will certainly do wonderful provided your mind is pure and firm devotion in God.

My Friend at 14, time is of no essence except for the will of God.
For time does not exist for God he is beyond time, space and diminution. If you truly desire for this friend to return into your life then go To God with it for nothing is impossible unto God.
(Mat 19:26) But Jesus beheld [them], and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
(Mar 10:27) And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men [it is] impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
( Hbr 11:6) But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
It can never hurt to ask.
