Is myspace a bad site to get on? My mom dont want me getting on there and I have no clue why!

This site has a potential to give away too much information to the wrong kind of people. I know that supposedly no one can view your space without an invitation but all it takes is one friend of a friend of a friend and you may find your page being viewed my a child predator. I agree with your mom....it is too dangerous to have your life open to complete strangers who may have the worst of intentions toward you.

I'm an old lady and I just got my first Myspace, and I learned that you can set your info to private and no one can see your stuff. I'm sure your mom would help you do that. Then, you can be seen by your friends, but NOT by THEIR friends.

I don't really think its a bad site to go on, I think your mom probably won't let you go on because you can talk to strangers basically and in your mom's opinion it may not be safe!

listen to your mom.....I know sometimes us mums seem to ba little paranoid where our children are concerned..but take notice its because we care and sometimes we find it hard to explain our reasons for not wanting you to do things..but listen to her..its important.
