With the direction our country is headed (mass illegal immigrants, dirty politics, corrupt government, war, terrorism, etc.) do you ever desire to leave America and live somewhere else more peaceful, if there is such a place?

Well, every four years, we hear all of these Hollywood celebrities say they're going to leave the country if the Republicans win the White House...

The American people have done their part, with the Republican party winning the last two Presidential elections...

Unfortunately, the Hollywood stars (like Barbara Streissand, Jane Fonda, Rosie O'Donnell, Cameron Diaz, Ben Affleck, Rob Reiner etc) have been their usual gutless selves, and have remained in the U.S.... where they're safe.

We all know that none of them would last 5 minutes in another country, but I wish they'd at least try it...

Most likely NO. But I think it depends from person to person. Where do u think Americans would go? Except for US and W. Europe, the rest of the countries are barely staying alive, economically speaking. There are no more unexplored lands where a mass migration can occur.

There was always dirty politics, illigal immigrants, corrupt Government, and war.
We have to deal with buddy, and fight it to the best of our abilities.
Right now the priority is a war on terror.

I can't quite imagine all the Americans leaving.
In any event, don't go North, because the prevailing winds will carry the nuclear fallout North.
Winds more or less originate from the tropical regions, around the Equator, where the air rises and moves away, speeding-up as it goes.
To evacuate, go South.
See you there.

There may be corruption here, but it's far better than most other countries in the world. Best to stay here. Besides, most Americans are too lazy to learn another language necessary to survive in another country.

You must be insane. Despite all our troubles, this is still the best country in the world to live in. The freedoms and opportunities you have here are unmatched. I am proud to be an American and always will be.

If you don't like it, I wish you WOULD leave.

Yes, when the Canadian border becomes the northern border of Mexico (about 10 years from now),we'll all be trying to jump their border to look for a job to support our families at their expense.

If Mexico were to change THEIR laws to allow non-Mexicans to purchase land, I propose we all take our pocket change, put it together, and buy the whole blasted country out from under them. Then we could be their landlords while they're here in the US.

"ever" is a long time so "no" is hard to justify but the world is becoming more and more overpopulated, so even if the desire exists, it may not be possible.

as for places to go, look south. central and south america are beautiful locations

No, because the United States will always be the best country in the world to live in. You can't excape terrorism because there are a lot of mentally ill and disinformed people out there. We have to depend on our government to keep us safe the best that they can.
