It is an interesting question. When a person is racist against another, or a majority of people, they are usually extremely narrow-minded or uneducated. All three categories you presented do contain some historical background and a racist person perhaps does not realize where their interests derive from. You ask this question, I believe, without realizing the historical significance you contain. A white person could just as easily ask a black person why they speak the same language as them, or live in the same country, why they buy similar houses or want to work at similar jobs. They are focused on color, not clothing or music, and this is how many generations raised their children. Education is what makes people racist where it white being racist against black or vice versa. One might present the idea that talking like you, dressing like you, or listening to your music, hence you making yourself a particular color and admitting it instead of just accepting your a person like everyone else, might be considered slightly racist on your side. It is America, the land of "freedom," everybody shares a certain culture, a way of speech, a way of thinking, and yet, the sub-cultures are what makes the difference in color such an issue. It's a gory war that has improved with the times, and the more people who teach the next generation that color is not the important issue, there will be less of an issue. Differences were rare in history, and it has taken a long time to get used to them. I'm glad that there is more unity today, but you need to understand that YOUR music, or YOUR clothes, or YOUR speech is actually the speech or dress or music of everyone's ancestors progressed into a modern day society, a society that thrives on throwing culture together and not considering differences in race as a general aspect, those differences are considerably individual.

Some people I know would call it appropriation.
It is a political term, used to describe how a dominant group absorbs cultural elements from another group. In the process, the cultural integrity of the smaller or less powerful group gets slowly eroded, until their identity has been diluted so much that they end up assimilated into the dominant culture.
But although this is a useful way to consider the problem, the reality is that human relations are really complex. You could go around getting mad at everyone who dresses or talks like they have absorbed some black culture, and that could be very useful for a while, but I don't think people should get fixated on stuff that just keeps them really mad for their whole life. We need to find creative but loving solutions to this kind of problem.
Have you seen "Crash"? I just saw it this week. It seems vaguely related to your question...it is an excellent movie, it shows exactly how difficult these issues are.

I think they hate the bad stereo types. And that prevails in the black race. There will always be people against any race for the things that a lot of the race has done.
Why do some black people hate white people, but they talk like us, dress like us, and listen to our music? Also, you straighten your hair, lighten it, etc. Also you treat lighter skinned blacks better than darker skinned. A lot of you should take a look at each other and your actions as well as actions of some white people.
By the way, what makes something your clothes, or your music?

I grew up in the south and although I was raised by a black woman, played with her children a whole bunch more than I did with my family, played music in a soul band when I was around white people they expected me to be as prejudiced as they were because I was white. I can't explain it. Stupidity and upbringing has something to do with it. Even my mother would tell me I was better than "those people" but I was already too far gone. Instead of imitating my black friends, I became my own person which is what they did also. I also got the hell out of the deep south. Why a person would rip off your culture then stab you in the back? It's America, we've been doing it for centuries! And the fact that nobody has an original thought anymore because they're afraid of "what people may think". Scared and stupid.

i don't think that's the case. no one i know hates black people or any other people at all. And i don't think i know exactly what you mean by "talking like you" (not all black people talk gangsta, right?), "dressing like you" (not all black people dress the same- my african american friend wears only Hollister and my other African american friend has never even been to that store). Lastly, there's a lot of african american performers out there and, last time i checked, 50 cent and Lionel Richie did not sing the have the same kind of musical style, not even close. so you see, it's not right to just put all blacks together ina pile and say they are all the same. you shouldn't do that to anyone, especially not your own culture.

I don't really know why people do this, but its a lot like why do gay men dress like women and give themselves women's names if they dont want to be with a woman... I don' t get it, but one of my best friends is a drag queen. Maybe its just to be different, hey If I could dress and be the height of a tall person and not have to buy my shoes in the kid section( i am 4'8) I probally would.

Some people hate that what they want to be, or want to be accepted by. If you do not have a culture of your own you tend to rob from the cultures around you. It is all pure ignorance!

I don't get why someone who appreciates black cultural contributions can't appreciate black people, either. They need to know there's more to black people than what's portrayed on their CDs.
