Well I have basically known one of my best friends for over 2 years. And we have gotten along so much that we are like sisters. But she is the type that is snobby and stuck up. And lots of people don't like her all to much. And I'm the type who gets along with everyone and has lots of friends. So my friends were talking about her behind her back. And its really hard to keep up with my best friend and my other friends. Since they don't get along very good. So I'm quite confused on what I should do about this problem. Should I just give up one of my best friends, or just continue to try to balance everything out. Or is there some other solution to this.

The solution is this :

Make new friends, but keep the old
The new friends are silver~ but old friends are like gold!

Well, I am probably not the best person to answer a question on best friends as I have no personal luck with it. But if she is truely your best friend and you are like sisters then you remain her friend. You might discuss with her why your other friends have a problem with her but you certainly don't allow those friends to talk about her behind her back in your presence.

If you're not having any probs w/ your best friend then why salvage your friendship w/ her ? If she's causing you probs &/or stress then I'd see why you'd consider it. If you have no probs w/ her, I think that you should just not worry bout what other peeps are saying behind her back. To A your Q, you should NOT give up one of your best friends. Make time for your best friend, but also try to make time for your other friends... Just don't salvage the rel just cuz your friends are talking bad bout her... if that's why you're considering not being her friend...

i have gone though the same thing. I told my friend straight up that she was being snobby and told asked her to stop. Of course she was mad but she got over it and now is completely normal

i do not think you should give up on any of your friends-you should not stop liking her because other people don't -also maybe u sit down with the one friend and just talk to her and aske her to be honest about the way she acts -if she gets mad at you -then maybe she is not ur true friend

I would tell her that people are talking bad about her and your not going to say anyones name but that she needs to change her attitude , tell her she is snobby but say it out of love and that your just trying to help her

Not everyone is going to like everyone else. If your friends do not like her, then big deal. You can be friends with whoever you want. Don't choose between one or the other. Be happy with all your friends. People are who they are.

Did you stick up for your friend when they were talking about her? If not, I'm not sure that you are much of a best friend to her.

which "friend" is/are your true friend? Go with the friend/s that you get along with, or stick up for your friend. if you let them talk about her then maybe you really aren't her sister

you are in the circus now, you are a master juggler. you can't give up on your shy friend. so she doesn't follow the crowd. personally, i'd go with her. i;m not to much into folks neither. at least you know where you are with this one. the others are wishy washy, happy go lucky. they talk about her, them ,and you too...
