Domestication is a process of taking a wild species of plant or animal, then picking the most suitable of its offspring for whatever purpose you have in mind, then breeding over several generations. You try to develop a specialized breeding stock that retains those qualities you want in their offspring, with as few genetic side-effect flaws as possible. It is not just taming a wild animal. Animal hubandry is an example.
Pathogens are things that can predictably cause illness or death.
Malevolent describes having evil intentions toward some person or thing.
Bovine means something related or unique to cattle, or also resembling a cow in some way.
