I would love them the same that is called being a mom and unconditional love. Who am I to judge them in their sexuality. I would hope that we will always remain close so that they could talk to me about anything. I would just remind them to be honest, safe, loving and smart. I remind them of these things because the world is full of mean, judgemental and violent people no matter what their sexuality is. Being a good caring person should be something to admire regardless of sexuality. As long as maturity, love, respect and integrity are involved- who am I to judge. Our parents couldn't pick our friends/partners so what gives us the rights to pick for our kids. Parents need to love and protect their children by showing them they are loved and valuable so their children can take these values into the world in their personal and professional life. We would all be better off!

Yes I would. I know many gay and lesbian people whose parents have turned their back on them and in the end it has been terrible for both the parent and the child. When a parent bring life into this world, they love that child, nothing should come between that love that only a parent and a child can hold.

Most reasons parents have difficulty with a gay child is due to conditioning...whether it be their own upbringing, religious or cultural beliefs. It is important that the parent love their children enough to educate themselves beyond their own beliefs. Sadly not all parents are capable of respect and acceptance...does not mean the parent has to "agree". Youth centers around the country are treating Gay teens for abandonment, depression and provide housing. It is possible to love people we don't agree with.

Yes, I would love them just the same, but I would constantly explain how wrong that is and as another person said, do a lot of PRAYING, because that's all that will deliver them from that world of sin. I feel so sorry for people that chose that lifestyle because I feel like something lead them to that. You feel me!

Yes of course because if they are gay this is just a choice in their mind that they are born with. You wouldn't hate your child if they preferred blondes to brunettes, so why should it matter if they prefer men or women? As long as you see your child in a happy relationship and that they are happy in their life that is all that matters.

Of course I would!...I don't care about what gender my child choses to be with...as long as he is fullfilled and happy. Love doesn't alter because of the gender of a child's partner. How sad that some ppl would have a problem with his/her child being happy with someone of the same sex.

No. I would have to love them more for being honest with me. I try to get my children to understand that the best relationship is completely open and honest, no matter what it is they need to say. Also I would support them, and not make rude remarks or try to change them, as it is part of who they are, and who, not what, they are is the whole reason I love them in the first place.

I abosolutely would. How could a parent's love be dependant on whether your child was straight or gay? Absolutely unbelievable that a parent could not love their child.
