Both the British and American militias viewed slavery as acceptable during those times. Some British slaves did fight against the American militias as ordered.
-In my opinion slaves had nothing to gain fighting for either side during those times as slavery was widely accepted.
-If I had to make a choice I would say fighting for the American militia would have been more advantageous since I had a better chance of escaping as the American militias were less organized and were groups of rag-tagged colonists strung together.

They would have been better off fighting for Britain. Although both sides accepted slavery at the time, Britain outlawed slavery far before America did.

Since the British lost that one, one would have to say the US, though they then still had to face being enslaved.
