Yes, indeed I have - a diversified farm with beef cattle, a milk cow, pigs, sheep, goats, hens, turkeys, geese. I ran the tractor, tilled, mowed, tedded, raked and baled. I sheared sheep, castrated everything, butchered the birds, milked the cow, made butter and cheese, tended the vegetable garden, canned and pickled and made jam. I split stovewood and kindling. I loved it all, but anyone who's never tried it has no idea the amount of heavy, constant physical labor involved! Not much time for leisure!

no but when I was young and lived in Europe we lived off our garden and raised our own chickens and rabbits. Might as well have been a farm .
