Yes. sadly, this is how women can die during childbirth. The body tears itself apart, trying to birth the baby. In these cases, the baby often dies too.
Because of modern medicine and c-sections, this problem happens less.

Most first time babys drop, my first time didn't even go head down till the started the induction, she was 8lbs. I am now 35 and his head is down but it is by my hip so he hasn't "dropped yet". I think it is like being given a due date, some babies come out that day but 80% are born with in 2 weeks before or after that date, so why bother with the date at all

My daughter didn't drop until I was in labor. She weighed in at a whopping 7lbs. 6oz. Some woman just don't (I also didn't dialate at all until I was in labor.)

How are the measuring baby to say it's large? Ultrasounds are often wrong in the weight by 2lbs (either smaller or larger) so are not a reliable source.

Yes I sure it can but nature has a way of assisting;) most likely the baby will drop better or during labor.

My baby's large....8 pounds....and i was 1cm dialated Monday....im 38 weeks and im being induced tomorrow morning.....women's whose babies dont "drop" usually get c-sections!

my son never droppped until the very last second...I was 10 CM fully dialiated and he was still high up in my boobies...we had to wait for him to slide down....little stinker took his own sweet time!

Yes. It happened to a friend of mine. She had to have a C-Section.
