Yes, I believe in the premiere episodes of CSI: NY, the cast and crew was introduced via a joint episode of CSI: Miami.

There were a few cross over episodes if that is what you are asking. I think Caine originally came from NY, don't know the full back story though.

Yes it really has I saw it when H went to ny to find a child molestor - it wasn't a good show but it was kind of neat them putting them together
