The only way to find out for sure if you’re pregnant is to get a pregnancy test. A pregnancy test is a laboratory analysis of a woman’s urine sample. This is how it works to determine pregnancy: When a woman is pregnant the placenta of the fetus produces a certain kind of hormone that finds its way into her urine. A pregnancy test will indicate whether of not that hormone is present - that is, whether or not the woman is pregnant. The test should not be done until two weeks after you skip a menstrual period. If done earlier, the results of the test may not be accurate. The reason for getting a pregnancy test as soon as possible is that you may find out you’re not pregnant - and save yourself much worry and unnecessary anxiety.
There is a blood test that can be used that is very sensitive to detecting a pregnancy though even this test is not 100% accurate. It is available through private physicians and labs and other sources.
If a pregnancy test is positive - that is, if it shows that you’re pregnant - most clinics and doctors will also do a pelvic examination to confirm the results. Very early is the pregnancy, a woman’s uterus becomes larger and softer. A doctor can determine pregnancy because of those changes.
You should have a pregnancy test as soon as possible if you suspect you’re pregnant. For a urine test, wait until your period is at least 14 days late

Most likely no but it is still possible. Light spotting can occur while pregnant. There have been instances of women having their periods during early pregnancy. If you are worried take a Pregnancy test and/or go to your doctor for a blood test.

Yes you can have a bleeding during first trimester... If pregnant, this is not called a period, it is concidered bleeding. Best thing for you to do is go to the doctor and get tested - VERY IMPORTANT HERE. The bleeding can be one of several reasons: You are not pregnant, your are miscarrying, or something else minor/or serious.
If you are pregnant and want this child, then you need to get in ASAP and take care of both of yourselves. A healthy mother is important to a healthy child, unless you have other plans. But you need to be honest with yourself here and take care of business either way.
Pick up that phone and call your doctor now...go now...

there are women who have periods their whole pregnancy and are pregnant... if its late and its only for a couple days and its real light than you might be... if its heavy and normal than maybe its stress that made you start late.. see if you get any symptoms of being pregnant and see what happened! test next month if it doesn't come again.. but some women have missed or late periods its normal ... good luck!!!

when i first thought i was pregnant with my son it was because i missed a period. i took a pregnancy test and it was negative, a few days later i had my period, so ''obviously'' i wasnt pregnant... i carried on having my periods for 5months, when i missed another period i took another test and that one came back positive, you can imagine the shock i had when i went to the doctors and they told me how far gone i was... and because i am horribly prone to putting weight on i didnt think it odd because i had put a ''little' 'weight on...
i even had my own mother call me a liar saying that i lied about having my periods... why would i do that? people have old fashion issues about pregnancy, you can only be pregnant if you havent had a period for nine months!!!! dif people have dif bodies and every ones body reacts different to pregnancy....

If you got a full period, you probably aren't pregnant. Have you done a home pregnancy test? You might want to get one from the doctor, too.
