Katherine Harris is insane in her own rights. She is not embraced by the Bush's who asked her to step down and let a sane candidate run. Jeb Bush publicly asked her to drop out of the primaries when her meds could no longer keep her ranting in check.

Boehner was sane until he took over as House Majority Leader, then he succumbed the same malady that effects every other political leader he begins to function as a human and operates solely as a pro-party cyborg. Just look at Pelosi, Dean and Frist. Well at least Dean and Frist. They were both good solid representatives until they were thrust into a position of power in the party, now they are just party hacks who spew party dogma like they've been brainwashed by a cult.
