i bought a item online and its being shiped fedex ground
the seller told me that the package will be left at the door
if no one were home i wanted to know if there was some-
where i can go and pick it up myself.

If you are not home when they delivery adn the package is marked that is must be sugned for.. they will take it to the local distribution center.. you will probably be left a note telling you where and when you can pick it up... but until you get this note, no you cannot intercept it... .. ask your seller for the tracking number.. on the fedex site you can keep an eye on it.. so you can sort of know when to expect it..

Only if you told them to do so. Call up the shipper and see if it is too late to get that changed and of course if you are not home they will leave you a card as to where your package is going and when you can pick it up, They have shops in every neighborhood.

call fedex, they should not leave a package at ur door step unless u say so. call them and make arrangements to either have a neighbor take or a pick up time for u at there station. they do have a site somewhere where u can pick it up . a phone # should b in ur yellow pages.

Next time have them ship UPS and have it delivered to the nearest UPS store to you.
