has anyone any info on a overactive thyroid..

An overactive thyroid would make you lose weight rapidly. You would be underweight. Another side affect is 'bug-eyes'. UNDERactive tyroids cause you to gain weight. However, I think both conditions are fairly rare.

Yes & it isn't good either the meds they put me on made me gain weight so I stopped taking them now I watch what I eat & exercise alot

I think it causes weight gain.

my husband has he eats more than he should by getting messages from his glands in his throat. if thats wot you mean
