The opposite of emotion is 'emotionlessness'!

Actually there is no synonym or Antonym for the word, Emotion'

'Emotion' means a strong feeling. No one-word for it!

What then is the opposite of Emotion?

if you mean lacking emotion the only word to eplain it would be emotionless. if you mean what is emotions counter point, i believe it is thought. emotion deals with your feelings and impulses, where as thought tends to deal with logic and fact. more often then not though thoughts tend to be influenced or skewed by emotion. but if you put your emotions aside before you think(its often the best and clearest way to make a desicion) than thought i believe, is the opposite of emotion

According to Webster, emotion is agitation of the mind, therefore the opposites of emotion would be staid, stoic, or serene.
