Spanish is the best language to learn. A lot of words in Spanish are very like English words because they are both based on Latin. Also, the number of spanish-speaking people is increasing each year. By the time you graduate, spanish will be the #1 language in the world. Spanish is definetely the best choice!

it depends what u intend to do. If you live in Melbourne and ur looking just for a general second language italian would be good. If you intend to enchance your job prospects any language would be beneficial, depending on the region ini which you conduct your business adn the nationality and type of people you are interacting with; an asian language would be good as teh continet Asia itself is fastly a growing population and is a good foundation interms of laguages and stuff like that. If you are in Malaysia, where i come from, malay would be good to learn because it is the national language and a lot of people speak it in the region itself. If you happen to be in eastern europe region then learning a laguage is beneficial of that region. Basically just learn whatever language that you feel that will benefit you in the end.

spanish is fun. It's spelled phonetically 98% of the time and even the "irregular" verbs are logical if you learn the rule. Plus, with hispanics becoming an increasingly large demographic in the U.S., spanish is becoming a highly marketable language skill.
Sign language is a lot of fun too. Took a couple of classes. Reallye asy to pick up. Interprators make good money.

That would depend on what you were planning to do with it. If you live in the US and are looking for just a general second language, I might recommend Spanish, as it will help you with job prospects later in life. If you are planning on going into business, Japanese might be good. Each language has it's own area where it can be very useful to learn it, it just depends on what you might like to use it for/ plans for the future.
(I personally love German, but that's just me)

it all depends where you want to travel, i speak several languages but have only been able to learn when I am in that country or in the company of several native speakers of that language. No point learning a language if you are not going to hear it every day until you have grasped it.

Latin. And before anyone gets too cocky, yes I know it is a dead language and no longer in direct use, but it forms the root base for English, Italian, Spanish, French, Greek and believe it or not even Scottish. I grew up in the south of France, but was born in Scotland, my parents are Irish and English, but whilst there I obviously learnt french but i also studied Latin for 2 years. As a result I can now speak and read spanish, read Italian and have a very good understanding of the english language, which not many people seem to have nowadays.
So as strange as it sounds, latin is worth the effort as it is the key to all other languages.
Latin- lingua
French- langue
English- language
Spanish- lengua
Italian- lingua
Need I say more?

I would say Spanish and once you have mastered it you will get by in Italian which has a lot of similarities! but the nicest language to listen to is French I tried french lessons many years ago and i found it difficult as you have to twist your tongue so much and of course its pronounced different to how its written making it non phonetic
