You'll never see all of the countries of the world uniting against the U.S.A. If we are brought to our knees, who is going to give them all of that free foreign aid that they've gladly been accepting from the American gov't. all these years? Who would give them aid? Russia? Osama Bin Laden?

The countries of the world don't want the US brought to it's knees contrary to what many seem to be saying. The EU do have some big jealousy issues going, but the last thing they would want would be the destruction of the US. It has been pretty normal for Europe to treat the US as a red headed stepchild during times of relative peace but our destruction would be their destruction and they know it,we have after all saved them from absolute destruction twice in just the last century. And of course while many countries complain about our wasteful consumer society they also know that it is our wasteful consumer society that holds up whatever resembles an economy in their country. Without US investment for example China's economy pretty much ceases to exist. For all his posturing Hugo Chaves could not survive without the US buying his oil, while he only provides about 3-4% of our oil we provide about 60-70% of the money going into his economy through oil, without us he doesn't have anything. The economies of the world are all linked to the biggest economy on earth, namely ours,if we fail they fail. In the great depression when the economy of the US crashed we were far from alone,so no one wants our failure because while they may say otherwise they know our failure means their failure.

It could theoretically be. Already we are pretty divided. You wouldn't need all of the countries, maybe just a few of the bigger ones (China, a couple of Europe, Canada even). Our government is unstable, but that is because of the people in power, not the governmental system (all gov'ts are created perfect; it's the people that aren't). However, the British tried that once, so I'm not sure if it will work again. Use the past behaviours to determine the future.

All countries in the world unite,ha ha ha that is a good one. We might seem fractured but it's just the way a free society works, everyone gets a seat at the table and some want to be at the head, but no one could defeat the US at this time in history, we would pull it together so fast if attacked you would see Teddy and Cheney in the same foxhole. You really have no idea what makes us strong, it's our ability to unite for the common good and self preservation.

As Americans we could literally starve the rest of the world by withholding foreign aid! On top of that we have the most sophisticated military in the world and the capability to mass produce weaponry for that purpose. To boot, I'm sure we haven't pulled all of the tricks out of the bag yet so I wouldn't be counting chickens until all the eggs have hatched! Area 51 ring any bells?

thats a pretty ignorant question. I do think that we will see a decline in american power in the next decade, a multinational inviasion is ludiacris though, because the world is more divided than America, and it would be nealy imposible to occupy america, nevermind that a world war like yuou descibe would be a bloody and pointless affair

When the American economy sneezes, the world grabs for a handkerchief...
America is the engine pulling the worlds economies.....
Suggesting that all the nations of the world could or would somehow unite is utter nonsense...
More likely the US will be destroyed by a monster Meteorite.
Just more jealousy & sour grapes by bitter "have-nots"...

I fear that is not necessary- we will perhaps implode from internal problems- read the constitution- not at all what our brilliant founding fathers had in mind- when Truman left office- on a train with his wife and daughter and no Secret Service Agents- heading home to Mo.-we started a downward spiral that continues to today. Not sure this answers your question- but I feel that they could- we are so fractured currently-

Or all the other countries could stop accepting US foreign aid, repay their debts and just leave the US alone.
After about 30 years of that, the US will still be standing strong and the rest will be speaking Chinese.

Please do! Nothing brings us together, unless you attack us. Then we will kick your @$$. If you really want to bring the US. down, just leave us alone. The right to free speech gives us the means to pick at each others flaws and this is why we always look like we are divided. Also don't forget, we still have the right to bear arms. We are armed and we know how to use them.
