I have 2 tickets but they simply say "gates open at 8 AM". I have looked online and found 12 noon, 1 PM, 1:30 PM and 2 PM.

Coverage for the race begins at 12:30 cst, so the race should start around 1:15 cst. If you're going to the race, go early because traffic is horrible. Definitely bring something to eat and drink, because prices are pretty high. You might also want to bring something to do if you're going really early. I went last year when the gates opened and had a ton of time to kill after looking at all the souvenir trailers etc.

The green flag will fall about 2:10 pm (EDT) that's one hour earlier in the central time zone. If you have tickets, I would get there within an hour or two of gates opening. Bring some beverages, snacks and tailgating stuff to keep you occupied until the race begins.

Depends on what time zone, since Kansas City is in the central time zone take that into effect and look at nascar.com and have fun, and everything on nascar.com is in eartern time to jsut go back an hour. I just looked at it starts at 12:30 Kansas City time and heads up get their early because traffic is going to be backed up for miles and I mean that, its probably not as bad as bigger cities but it get messed up if you know what I mean and try to get the best parking and another thing dont be in such a rush to leave because traffic is a nightmare as a I said and it will take at least an hour to get out of there so have fun..

whatever you do get there early it will be crowded i would get well before the green flag drops many things going on that day..and have fun!!
