i have over 50 vinyl records by numerous artists and would like to find out roughly what there value is but i cant find anywhere that values them at a resonable price

most of them are as new and date date to the 60's 70's and include the lyrics; i have albums by the police, adam and the ants, bay city rollers, harry secombe, i also have a copy of the sound of music in completly mint condition

Take it from me I have more then 2,000 album unless you have something rare there not worth much. You can look on ebay and see what people are getting for the records you have.

I can tell you that for the Adam and the Ants albums there are several very collectible, very rare ones. Some of the rarer ones are promos, Japanese editions, demos, and some of the EPs and some pre-1980 albums.

For the most part, the mass-produced ones like Prince Charming and Kings of the Wild Frontier are not worth more than a few bucks unless they are some sort of special edition or import.

Most records are not worth that much unless you have something extremely rare.
Try ebay to see what others are selling the same item for.

And

Pick up GoldMine magazine available at Barnes & Noble and Borders. This is the record/CD collectors magazine. There may be a local dealer you don't know about in this magazine other dealer that can help you.
