First, stop touching your skin! You will only scar and make it worse. Second, while you're in the shower use an exfoliant (St. Ives Apricot Scrub for Blackheads), rub gently in circles and then wash off. Make sure you wash your face when you wake up and before you go to bed. Never, ever go to bed with any make-up on if you wear it. Avoid caffeine, fried and sugary products since all of those things will assist your hormones in creating more blemishes. Make sure you are changing your pillow cases often to avoid build-up of oil. Do not use anything too harsh on your skin since it can also make it worse. Use a mild moisterizer so your skin does not produce excess oils to try to correct overly dry skin. You can also do a mud mask once a week to tighten the pores and draw out the deeper dirt. I'm sorry to say that hormones will always mess with you, but these things will help counteract some of the damage. Good luck!

Try Clinique Products. They work better than ProActive in my opinion but whatever you do, stay away from benzoyl peroxide because it bleaches your clothes. Try something with salicylic acid in it. But more than likely you will have to just be patient until you grow out of it.

Hi,
I used proactive and it worked in about 2 weeks; plus it doesnt make your skin look inflamed or peel. It also worked for a few people I know. Order offline or at the "As seen on TV store" in the mall.

Acne is a disease and people who suffer from it deserve the best treatment that current medicine can provide. If there is any way you can get your folks to take you for dermatological assessment and treatments, please do. It is manageable and shouldn't (in this day and age) have to cause the sometimes extreme distress that it has wrought upon so many in the past.

I know people say it all the time... but water. Water is the key. Drink tons of the stuff, to the point where you are a fish. I promise, you'll see a change.
