It is not hard to get a position as a loader (they are always looking for people). They do most of the promotions in house, though, which means that you have to start at the bottom (as a loader) if you want to work as a driver, and often even as managment.

Yes and no. Currently, there is a hiring freeze on at UPS for drivers, but you could always put in an application. Other positions may be available. They often hire part time temps during the CHristmas season but not always.

depends on what type of position you are applying for. A loader/sorter...jobs are plentiful. Drivers are not. People in the IT dept and the Industrial Engineering depts need higher education degrees.

PS-Night jobs are also plentiful.

Ordinarily it is hard to find entry level positions with UPS, but there is a limited number of them from time to time. You have to be persistant in looking.

it took me about two months.
after you get the interview just keep calling, if they tell you that they should know by next friday, then call them next friday, if they say 2 more weeks, call em in 2 more weeks.
being a loader is pretty easy, tough work, but no brainer.
Now I just wait till I can keep moving up....

No.

Are you healthy?

Can you lift heavy boxes?

Can you stand for long periods of time in a hot warehouse?

Are you willing to work crappy hours for so-so pay?

Can you get to work with reliable transportation?

You are hired.
