Go click start then run then type dxdiag You can see and know what version of direct x you are

Open your Internet browser, then go to Tools - Windows Update, and run the update. If you have DirectX drivers, there should be an update available. Simply download the update and Voila! Not only do you know you have them, but you've just updated them as well.

click on start/search /
click on all files & folders
type in the box
direct
hit search
& you can look in the
program files folder
if you have
direct x drivers
your see a direct x ,folder
