Edie got discouraged and didn't participate in the New Hampshire primary and she was considered a candidate in that state, she really didn't know. If you don't open the envelopes Edie, how will you know if you could have been president back then. Don't do that again. (but Edie is actually 3/4 Native Indian, Cherokee, Lakota and Cheyenne, the other quarter is British)

There has never been a woman in the electoral rollup to president - not yet, anyways. Despite current popular trends, Oprah Winfrey is not running for office, nor would I imagine she would want to - The Office of the President quite often kills the person during their tenure, or ruins them for anything else afterwards due to the very high stress levels.
