If you buy new tires that are bigger do from a 17 for a 2000 f150 and i want 20s do u need 2 buy bigger wheels

You've answered your own question, Going from 17 to 20's. That's the Rim size.

Well sucker you just answered your own question. If you have 17" tires then it'll only fit 17" rims and since you want 20" rims you have to buy 20" tires for the rims

yes , plus bigger springs and new shocks to make them fit in the tiere well.
BTW, bigger tires will adjust your speedometer so that you thinkyou are driving slower thatn you actually are.
