what are the consequences for skipping??
i have skipped my art class for about 6 days straight now because I thought their was no point and that I was going to drop it and take another class but I went to my guidance and they said I couldnt drop it because I need 3 courses minimum and i asked if I could only have 2 classes this semester and for next semester I'd have 4 courses but she said no I couldnt do that because it was the rules....anyways i have to go to my art class tomorrow and just stick with it but the thing is ive skipped so many times (6) and i dont want to get in trouble, so what should I do and if my mom found out id be in big trouble ...so should i just ask her to write me a note to excuse myself from skipping?? what will they do to me??

i need lots of opinions thanks

In my school, skipping is counted as a cut. If you have three cuts, you get a detention. And a certain amount of cuts, a call to your parents. It might be different in your school though. and just stick with the class. I have to do that with a lot of my classes. we have to take a certain amount of classes to graduate. So just take it and do your best. a 50% is always better than a 0%! Oh and about your mom, if she is the understanding type, tell her. Everyone knows what a boring class is and can understand. If she is not understanding, then tell her at your own risk! You never know what she will do!

Look big mistake for skipping you have have a certain amount of classes but what is done is done. So now you can choose to either tell your mom or you can wait for the school to tell her. Which way do you think she will take it better. Yah thats right you need to tell her and start by saying mom I know I made a mistake and I intend to clean it up. Oh and most likely you will only get an ISS or less so stop tripping. Oh and hope you learned your lesson.

Well the school usually has some kind of policy dealing with class skipping. At my high school, if you skip once and get caught its an after school dention, twice is a bigger detension and three times is detention plus they fail you and kick you out of the class. Your best bet is to just stop skipping and not mention the previous skips, I hated art to, but you only have to take it for so long (I'm a sophmore and i never have to take it again i think)

make this plan with your boy friend so he gets to help, the problem will be you have to take the guilt trip your on and stick it in your head that you are now going to pay, so Annie up your time that where you lost it. that means you gotta get to the art teacher and be the most prolific and remarkably changed person in the world, so you are going to be too busy to do the guy for awhile and try to get it all together because it will be worse because your behavior is what is going to be going against you, the teachers would love to duck their classes for aweek too. so you got to have fun and they had too sit it out and you still have to do the work that didn't get done and you better have a way of making it look like your into it to make that person glad that they have to help you again for the same thing. once they didn't like it the first time they really don't like it the second time so you gotta look like the movie legally blond and pulls some rabbits out of your hat. be sweet to the art teacher they can be the only way out and it will be all personality and charm and be prompt.

The damage is done, but I believe if you simply tell the truth, EXPLAIN WHY, at least the school and your parents will no that you were not skipping for skippings sake. Be prepared to answer questions about what course you wanted to change to and why. Also, be very prepared to explain where you were when you were skipping!

OY VEY!!!!
you again????? this is what? the bazillionth time you have posted that same question?????
Doll, that is called multiple postings and it is against community guidelines.
If you are so hung up on this issue, then just go back to class, ok? If you need a group of people to tell you that skipping class is wrong, then,...... oh never mind!
You're killin' us with you silly question.

the consequences for skipping depends on how much you've missed. You missed a lot of information and you'll probably get detention. I don't know if they'd let your mom excuse you for skipping. If you can, go ahead.

depends-if your in high school, they can kinda do whatever thier rules permit--I'd go to mom and beg for a note and learn this lesson. If your in college--well your paying for the classes-they can fail you and you have to repeat it at some point. Waste of money if you fail or continue to skip.

Are you in college? Skipping will just get you flunked. If HS suspended and maybe kept back.
