There are many responses in the post about Herbal and other remedies for olde ladies to help get pregnant.Fof aught I know they may all be as efficacious as claimed. I am,however, not sure whether you should go in for first pregnancy in late age. You have not specified your age but since you are seeking advice for late age pregnancy you must be in that category. Now see this before going in for any of them.
A woman's chance of becoming pregnant does decrease with age. For instance, a woman who is between the ages of 25 and 30 has a 6 percent less chance of getting pregnant than a woman who is age 20 to 24. That increases to 14 percent for women ages 30 to 34. Fertility is reduced by 31 percent between 35 and 39. Most physicians recommend that a woman try to conceive for a year before seeking help, but women who are over age 35 should contact their physicians after six months of trying to get pregnant.
After age 35, a woman's fertility rapidly declines and the quality of her eggs is reduced. By age 43, she has relatively little fertility left because her ovaries now produce fewer viable eggs. Women between ages 40 and 45 have roughly a 3 percent chance or less per cycle of achieving pregnancy
The risk for premenopausal breast cancer is increased by various factors associated with first pregnancy, including higher birth weight, shorter gestation, and older age, according to new study findings

Perhaps you can get a referral to a fertility doctor to more further explore your options and what would be best for you. (This is my recommendation as I honestly have no clue, and a doctor would be best!) Maybe even ask your regular doctor and they can give you some tips.

Both of you should eat a good balanced diet, and drop the alcohol completely. get you husband to wear loose underwear, or even go commando.
Then just do lots of it. It worked for us, we were 38 and 33.

Vitex (or chaste berry) is good. It helps to regulate your cycles and gets your hormones in check. It's reasonably priced and you can find it at GNC.
