I never got spanked in school. We called them getting licks though. My husband had gotten it once from the princple (which was a big dude). He had on those parachute pants on too. (Now im showing my age...it was in the mid 80's)....lol He said it hurt like hell...after the first lick his butt was numb. I dont remember what he did to get them though. His dad had gotten licks by the same guy( he was the head football coach back then) when he was in high school.

I got paddled three times.
In second grade for talking in class. Had to go with the teacher to a store room across from our classroom and bend over and was paddled. It was embarrassing because everyone in the class could hear--and it hurt.
In sixth grade I and a bunch of other girls got it at an end of the school picnic. We were all told to stay away from an area of the park that was near the water. About six of us went down there and got caught. Once back at school we were paddled.
In ninth grade I was caught smoking. This was the worst one. I had to bend over a desk and got paddled really bad. I can still remember how much it hurt. But I never ever smoked again.
The worse part of all of these is they called my parents. And each time I got a second worse spanking at home.
I think I learned from it. I was a pretty crazy kid. And I do know sometimes when I was thinking about doing something stupid I would remeber the possibility of getting spanked and it would sometimes inhibit me.

TImes have really changed. I went to school in the 70-80's. Yes, we got spanked. By a board. It was called, "The Board of Education". I kept it to myself. At that time, I would have also got in trouble at home too. My parents felt if I was getting in trouble at the school and needed to be spanked, then I would receive another spanking at home. Yes, it hurts.

I never did, but one of my classmates and another boy in a parochial school in the 1980's got over-the-knee spankings by the nun with her hand for playing with matches on the bus.

Yes, and yes it hurt, i went to catholic school and the nuns would hit with yard sticks and paddles. it was more humiliating then painful. I believe my skirt was too far above my knee and that was against school policy.This was in the late 1970's, However, where i live in rural Ohio, they still paddle children in the schools they are given a choice detention or paddle.

no, because the school didn't have permission to do that. My parents believed it was up to them to discipline me if i did something wrong not the school.

If anyone has put his/her hands on you for any reason, especially an adult, make sure you tell your mom or dad...
Don't be afraid...speak up...complain to someone in your family.
