He is super strong at 4 months. He is rolling over front to back and back to front as well as holding his head up like a champ. He has even started to pull his legs under him like he wants to crawl away at any minute.

every baby is different but my son was like yours (really strong) he started crawling at 6 months. it has a lot to do with how heavy they are too. my son is breastfeed so he isn't chunky he was able to be active very early.

All depends on the baby. My daughter hated being on her stomach so did not even try. She finally started to tollerate being on her stomach at started crawling and walking within a few weeks of each other and that was 13 months. My friends son was crawling at about 6 months. It sounds like he will crawl sooner than later though. But you never really know.

Well, every baby is different but my son starting truely crawling at about 7 months. He started "army crawling" at about 5 or 6 months which means he basically would just crawl with his arms. He started walking at 10 and a half months.

It can be anywhere from 5 months to 8 months. My daughter crawled at 6 months.

Between 7-9 month is the norm. However some babies skip crawling all together and go straight to walking, so don't worry if he doesn't crawl by then.

my daughter was the same way and she is now 7 months and still doing the same thing. It all depends on them.
My son never crawled until after he walked. He scooted and rolled but never crawled.
Just depends on the baby.

my son started at 5 months and now he's 8 and trying to walk, however my cousin's baby is 2 months older than mine and she just started crawling. they all move at there own pace. don't rush they grow up so fast. mine doesn't even want to be held anymore he just wants to try to master walking and its very sad and exciting at the same time.

anytime b/w 7-9 month sbut my daughter didn't start crawling until 9.5 months and she was jus tlike your son. Holding her head up at 6 weeks etc.......you never know. They all do their own thing =)

Sounds like he's on track for 6 months. My daughter did the same thing.
