called "Stories with Holes", and if so, where I can find/buy them. I remember them when I was in 1st or 2nd grade, in the Mid 80's.

A writer named Nathan Levy has published a series called "Stories with Holes," of which there are around 20 volumes. These are books that have "lateral thinking puzzles" built into them which readers are suppsed to use logic and creative problem-solving skills to figure out.

Levy has a Website http://www.storieswithholes.com/ where the books can be purchased individually, in batches, or in collected volumes that combine several books.
