From a bookworm's perspective like myself, there's nothing better than reading book after book cover to cover. If you like (or love) to read, then you'll want to "devote" your time and energy to each book. Once you're done, you've accomplished an entire reading. Time to start another one...

Variety is good, but not when it deprives you of actually reading. Flipping through isn't the same thing. I have a whole stack of books I haven't started yet, but I wouldn't skim through them and say "Done." Some day, I will get to them.

All in all, I'm for DEVOTION!

I think I would say devotion over variety. If you have and read 1 or 2 books, and read them thoroughly, for the enjoyment of the story (or for the knowledge they contain), I would say that that is more important than having a pile of books that you take off the shelf to dust.

read 1 or 2 books at a time and eventually ull have many books. but i would definitely say that concentrate on 1 book at a time so u don't miss out on minute details.

Good luck

Who are you trying to impress? If you love to read, you'll probably have lots of books, if you don't like to read, then who cares how many books you have.

Why would anyone own books that they do not read to their conclusions?
