I just bought a hookah, how do i set it up/ use it, what else do i need besides the actual hookah and tobacco?

they have a great FAQ section and are very helpful.

but basicaly,

you fill the base with enough water to cover the end of the tube by about 1 inch. (you can add ice to the water for a cool smoke.)

the stem should have a rubber grommet on it. you simply fit the stem with the rubber grommet into the base. plug in your hose.

lightly sprinkle the shisha tobacco into the clay bowl. if you pack it too tight it will burn and taste nasty.

use tnfoil or a charcoal screen over the tobacco, (if useing tinfoil poke many holes into it.)

i use natural charcoals that you have to heat up for several minutes, but the quick light are just as good for beginners.

place the coal in the center of the bowl and take several long puffs to get the tobaco warmed up. then move the coal to the side and move it often to give you a nice even burn.

you can inhale, or just pull the smoke into your mouth for the taste,(kind of like smoking a regular pipe.)

You need water to start. Fill the hookah with water about two thirds. Attach the pipe and the top part where you will place the tobacco. Make sure it's the right kind of tobacco. It should be like a paste, not the type you see in cigarettes. After you put the tobacco in, cover the "cup" with aluminum foil and make 4 or 5 small holes in it. Heat up some coal in the oven or on the stove and place it on top of the aluminum foil. Try to suck through the pipe a few times until you get some smoke. You will need to heat up the coal when you feel like you're inhaling air. Enjoy!

All you do is make sure the hoses are attached and put water in.. Put your "tobacco" in the bowl and light it up while inhaling. Enjoy!
