I have to say that the Books are much better, because by reading the Book your imagination just runs wild, and your imagining your own interpretation of whats going on in the books, when you watch the movies, your basically watching the imagination of many different proffesional artist, which by the way is still wonderful. I loved the movies, but I loved the Books more.

The books are always going to have more detail and events that the movies have to leave out because of time constraints. But now that I've seen the movies, I see the actors whenever I read about the characters. It takes away from the imagination aspect.

The books are 8 million times better than the films, though the movies aren't THAT bad considering some of the other awful Hollywood adaptations you get nowadays.

Still, books all the way!

The books, of course!!!! They are richer in detail, plus there are a lot more characters and you can use your imagination. I think the movies are OK, but still, when they change something makes me wanna stand up on my seat, throw the book at the screen and yell: "THAT is NOT in the book!!!!!". If you want to know if you're obsessed, go to Mugglenet and read the fun list "You know you're too big a fan".

The books are so much better... but I will say that they did a great job on the movies, keeping towards the books. Its rare to find a movie that is as good as the book.

The books, but I do like the movies. The only movie that was a complete disappointment was the third movie, the director messed too much with the movie and it was way out of synch with the book.

The books because they have more detail. The films have been crammed into 2 hours or so understandably but a lot gets missed out.

The books are much better. There is allot of information left out of the movies because of time issues.I think that if you read the books you will understand the movies alt better.
