Sometimes. Honestly if I'm unsure about a book--let's say I'm browsing at the store or the library--and I don't know if I want to invest the time and energy in a book--I've been known to read the last page first OR the first page and the last page first. But if I know I want to read the book--familiar with the title or its a recommendation from a friend--then I don't typically cheat. I read it cover to cover. I mean obviously it would depend on the type of book it is--what genre--I wouldn't want to know too much ahead of time...I just like getting a taste of what the book is about before I commit.

No, never. I read a lot of mysteries, and stories where the ending is supposed to be a surprise. So no, I do not read ahead. It would spoil all the fun.

Actually, it almost happened that way once. I was looking to the back of the book to see if there was "about the author," which is sometimes in the back. I accidentally caught something out of the corner of my eye concerning the last paragraph of the book. I immediately turned away, but continued to harbor suspicions in my mind as to the resolution of the mystery as a result of that little glimpse. Turned out I was all wet, and had mis-interpreted what I had seen. I was glad, actually!

OMGG YES! I thought I was the only one! I will read the last page of a book just to see if its interesting, plus I figure I wont remember any of the last page by the time I finish the book! My mom always says I shouldnt do that, but I cant help it. It lets me know if the book will be any good...

I used to do that just to see what to expect but i found that i kind of knew what the end was so it just seemed harder to read all the book when i knew how things turned out. so i don't read the last page anymore.

No, I don't. Half the time I don't even read the jacket if it's an author I'm familiar with because I'd rather just find things out as I go along.

No, but I do read the last sentence. I don't know why, either, because that sentence haunts me all through the book because I'm trying to figure out what it means!

No, that takes away the whole point of reading the book.

NO WAY!! Sometimes I read the thing in the back about the author first....but that doesn't give away the ending! haha

OOOH NO! That would ruin it!! How can you enjoy a book when you already know the ending? I don't think I could do that.
