My last 2 jobs were working with women, they got paid the same as i did, in fact one woman was paid more (for the same job) Guess what, they didn't do half the stuff i did, they were always late, didn't take the work too seriously. I put it down to pressures at home, they had kids and other things to think about, never the less, on average they were paid more than i was for less work and time.

Women don't do the same job as men. The 250 pound guy on the top of a burning building doesn't weigh any less because the rescuer is a woman. When you hire a man and woman to do the same job, there is a much greater chance that the woman will leave the job, either temporarily or permanently, to have children, raise a family, etc. If you factor in the cost of replacing lost workers and lost productivity, I bet the numbers even out.
As for career women, when they are as ambitious and talented as the men they work with they often do better at their jobs. After all, a man can't flirt his way into a business deal. A woman can flirt her way into anything if she is good enough.

apparently so, if the latest statistics are anything to go by. However, in a local authority, for example, or the Civil Service, you would be paid the same as each other, regardless of gender. The answer must be for all women to work for their local tax office or city council in order to be treated fairly!!!

If the job is the same, the hours are the same, the time off and holidays the same, the skills required are the same then it is illegal in the UK for there to be a difference.
How ever, you will find if you dig down that something isn't the same!!!

One female and one male employee doing the same thing hired at the same time = same pay. Raises based on length of service, improvement of job quality and speed and dependability. The one who habitually is absent to take care of kids/ family /health will not be moving ahead as fast. That would be the only difference.

no - how is that fair? if a disabled person or something was paid less, the company would be sued! the same job should have the same pay, regardless of gender, race or any other characteristics

no longer continuously for an identical reason and its no longer in easy terms females. some adult men are paid greater desirable than different adult men simply by fact of stereotypes and private beleives by skill of the guy in can charge. some situations its simply by fact they're females and the guy in can charge has a low opinon of females yet different situations possibly he doesnt like her for my area or possibly shes extremely no longer as valueable simply by fact the guy or yet another female. definite sexism exists yet we could desire to international doesnt revolve around sexism on my own. there are various motives human beings do what that do. you quite could have a guy and a females try for a job and the guy is greater qualified. in case you hire a guy over a females that's simply by fact hes the suitable individual for the job. you could no longer see each and every thing that doesnt bypass in a womans desire as a slap in her face. Sexism occurs yet its no longer the only reason issues ensue, you could desire to look at on a case by skill of case bases. some situations its the reliable ole boy gadget of hiring yet specially situations somebody else have been given the job simply by fact they actually deserved it greater desirable than you probably did. the international is greater complicated than reliable adult men and undesirable adult men.

Doing the same job doesn't necessarily mean the woman doing it as efficiently as a man. But if her output earns the same profit for the employer, then, "No", to your question, she should earn the same.

Yes. Women never fought wars (there are exceptions). They worked in munitions factories, but half of them should have showed up at the barracks and requested that half the men go back and swap roles. Women never stood up for their right to be equal in society when the world was not safe. Therefore, they deserve less pay for because they contributed less when nations were established. They still must earn it....by say.....10,000 years of substituting for men when wars are waged in the future.
