we have been married for almost a year now, we sent all forms and money to immigration, they haven't let us know yet .if he can stay here , this is a constant burden, for he may have to go back to england. and i wish to stay here.

Did you get a receipt saying that your papers were received? If not, you need to call up because they probably lost your papers.

Also, most couples wait at least a year before they even get an interview date - so you really need to be more patient. If all of your paperwork is in order, then after you do the interview, he should have his conditional green card. While the application is pending, your husband can stay here. If the marriage is bona fide, then you shouldn't worry. Your lawyer really should have explained this.

It takes time, I know some times it takes 5 years or so. If you go the immigration office they can give you some idea.

hes white and speaks english. thats the reason. if he was from mexico and here illegally, the world would be his. he'd have amnesty anyday now...
