ouch!!!!!Pregnant girlfriend,no where to go,do not know what to do.you sure are in a bind there kid.Sounds like you need to talk to your school counselor or a crisis counselor. And even though I am older I do know what it is like because I remember what it was like like.Your counselor may be able to tell you if there is emancipation laws in your state. It is not the easiest thing in the world to do...growing up fast like you are.But it can be done though.Well good luck to you, your girlfriend and the baby!

I left home when I was 16.Not because I didnt get along with my parents,I was just too independant, but in your unfortunate situation, all you have to do is contact a lawyers office or go get employed at a job,get established if at all possible in an apartment, contact a commonwealth office in your area and be emancipated{becoming a legal adult}you will be considered to the state as if you were 18.Being that youre almost 17,this shouldnt be that hard.Hope everything goes well, and try to be there for your girlfriend as much as possible and support her,she will go through some hard times as well.

I left home when I was 16. But I ran away. I suggest going a legal rout though. I had to quite school and get a job. Where do you plan to live? depending on where you live, every place has different rules.

In order to emancipate yourself, you'll have to prove you can financially support yourself (apartment, food, bills, credit, etc.), and that you can get to work. There's also a psych evaluation as well to make sure you are mature enought to be on your own. You need to remember that it's not easy to take care of 3 people (you, your gf, and baby) on low income, but it can be done. I hate to say this, but if you get emancipated, it might be a good idea to marry your gf (with her parents consent) so that you might be able to get some kind of assistance such as WIC which helps pregnant women get things like milk, cereal, juice, formula, etc. It really helps financially when you don't have to buy those things. Good luck! I hope you are strong!

I have heard that you can file divorce on your parents. You might be able to get amancipated at this age if your girlfriend is pregnant with your child. Call an attorney and find out.
