No I would NOT back a bill like that! That's horrible! And no it is NOT the woman's sole responsibility...it is just as much a responsibility for the man too you insane sexist bigot! It takes TWO to tango! You are basically saying that if a condom breaks or a pill fails or if a woman was RAPED that she should be put in jail! I think you need to be given jail time just for thinking such a thing!

Abortion would definitely not be the answer either! People don't think about who that little person could be when they grow up. One of the tons of babies that are murdered every year could've turned out to be a complete genius who discovers a cure for all the currently incurable diseases or something else just as wonderful!

Ok so you think it's the woman's responsibility to see that she doesn't become pregnant, then you obviously believe that woman have a right to choose whether they want an abortion or not. Since when did woman become pregnant by themselves and why should we bear the burden. I never realized that a woman lost ownership of her own body when she became pregnant. Is this your idea or somebody else's? If I am ever pregnant it is still my body, with or without a child in it and it's nobody business if I want to keep it or not, my body my choice since you seem to think I managed to get that way on my own anyway.

Why not, as long as the father goes to jail, too?

Hell, let's do this properly and also jail all women who have babies by people other than their husband. Step forward Mary, Mother of God, your jail cell awaits.....

Err. look at the history of this. In Victorian England many women who had a pregnancy out of wedlock was sent to hospitals or workhouses that where effectively prisons, however this had little or no effect on the number of children born out of wedlock.

LMAO...no, and its never the womans sole responsibility, you guys have just as much responsibility as we do, wrap it up! That kind of thinking only furthers the thought that women should be the scapegoat for everything, while the men get off scotfree, in more ways than one in this instance.

More than half of all births are out of wedlock in France and England and such places. Can the USA be far behind?

Depends - would there be a child care center at this jail?

I'm looking for the joke in your question but I'm not finding it for some reason...

No, it is insane. I think we should lock up all the men who ever masturbated and destroyed their seed. I guess the prisons would be more crowded then ever before but you would be happy because then woman couldn't reproduce because all the men would be in jail. Problem solved :)

"It is the woman total responsibility to see that she does not become pregnant." -- So, if she is raped and becomes pregnant, she still goes to jail? If the condom breaks, if the pills don't work, she goes to jail? I would not support this.
