I don't think any one bank is better than the other. What you should be looking at is their proximity to where you live/work/shop, and the number of locations they have in the areas that you travel. You do not want to start an account with a bank that is so obscure that you will be paying ATM fees all the time.....

Bank of America is opening more branches all over the place and they have locations in other countries too...

That really depends on your personal finance. Are you rich/poor? Is your credit good/bad? Lots of factors to be considered. Goodluck!

chevy chase and wachovia are good. you can also try ING Orange because they have good interest rates.
