okay. i'm 17. and so in my fiance. my mom said she's not going to sign the paper for a marriage lisences. is there anyway i can get around it. if at all possible. please let me know.

Not sure where you live, but here in Scotland you can marry without your parents consent at 16. If your totally sure and love this person, then I say go for it! Who can say what's going to happen in the future. This might be right for you, but please think very carefully...could you see yourself with the same partner and be happy? If there is a slight doubt then put it on hold for a while and try living together first. Good luck sweetie, I hope it all works out for you.

I would say the only way to get around it would be emancipation. Other than that, best wait until you're 18. It can't be that far away. Hon I've been there. My mom wouldn't sign anything either. We had to get our lawyers involved. You don't want to go there, do you? I bet you don't have that kind of money.
