Bohemian is used to describe free-thinking, free-living people - usually artists. Its modern roots are with the Beatniks of the 1950s. Their poets now stand as icons of progressive libertarian thinking.
Being Bohemian is all about living in an alternative space. Bohemians express themselves without regard for social convention. They attempt to experience the mysteries of life through their unique perspective.

Usually means a decadent & immoral lifestyle.
..................................
Although the bohemian population was diverse, one particular aspect of how they lived served as a unifying factor: the rejection of bourgeois values. The values they typically rejected and how are as follows:
They rejected private property and materialism by having no permanent residence anywhere and by surviving on little material wealth.
They rejected strict moral values by living carefree lives of alcohol and drug use, as well as open sexual freedom.
They rejected the pursuit of wealth by living solely for art and literature's sake, pursuing their passions regardless of whether they gained an income, which they usually did not.

It skill which you're artsy, and you steer away from socially time-honored norms and expectancies, and you may stay in a state of willful poverty.

To live like Johnny Depp...lol.
It means to be free and easy and probably to smoke weed. To be unconventional and kind of a drifter. Maybe you wear berets and eat macrobiotic. Put it this way - I went to art school, and we were all a bunch of Bohemians.
