How can you _mathmatically_ create a parallel line SEGMENT. (given the endpoints of the other line). The new line segment must be the length of the original segment.

EACH OF THE NEW ENDPOINTS _MUST_ lie on the line perpendicular to the original line at it's endpoints.

Draw a line parrallel to the original segment, same length.

Add a given number (say 2) to the y value ONLY of the original line
The resulting line will be parallel to the original line and the same length

If the end points of the original line are (2,5) and (4,6)
the new line will be (2,7) and (4,8)
