Feel free to check your historical records, but, NORTH KOREA did not renew their nuclear weapons program until Bush invaded Iraq in 2003.
Basically, Kim Jong Il did it out of fear America would attack NK next - since Bush claimed to be fighting a "war on terror" on "the axis of evil".
One of Bush's biggest mistakes in my opinion - was not stopping North Korea from renewing its weapons program and pushing ahead into this FAILURE of a war in Iraq. Nabbing Saddam is Child's play. He wasn't a threat to America and I knew it from the very beggining.
The scary thing is that NK has emboldened arab countries like Iran to push ahead with nuclear power - which will only culminate in the intro of nuclear bombs.
Now Egypt wants to build nuclear power (Mubarak's speech at UN)
Arab countries have no reason to need nuclear power since they are sitting on the world's oil wealth.
Iran is a SHIITE country.
EGYPT is a SUNNI country.

Most likely Egypt wants to make nuclear weapons in responce to IRan's proliferation of nuclear weapons similar to the way PAKISTAN made them in responce to INDIA'S Proliferation.
Chernobyl allready proved nuclear technology in the hands of some can be highly dangerous...not to mention the destruction a war would cause.
Isn't it obvious that Bush's poor military strategy is pushing America into a WAR OF CIVILIZATIONS (Henry Kissinger) and that America seems to be stagnating while the rest of the world is at each other's throats (and ours)?

Very good question. YES, Bush has started a nuclear proliferator era in Arab Muslim countries by invoking fear. I'm certain that if even one of those countries get nuclear weapons, Israel is doomed and America might be attacked.
Did you know America actually offered to HELP egypt build a reactor...???? Have we learned nothing from helping the Iranians build the TRIGA reactor?

Very well thought out and expressed, and I agree with nearly everything you said. I can't comment on Egypt because I don't know the facts behind that situation.
The only thing I might add is that in addition to refusing to negotiate with "The Axis of Evil", he called it the "The Axis of Evil" in front of the whole world.
How would the United States and Britain have reacted if North Korea had said they were "The Great Satan's" in front of the entire world, while at the same time building up it's military and passing legislation to invade Great Britain?
Would we be a little worried that WE might be next? And what would our response be to defend ourselves against this country that we not only see as evil, but an immanent military threat? I think we might rapidly mobilize our nuclear forces in the event of an attack from "The Axis of Evil"
Yes, it is not only possible but very likely that Korea built up it's military and accelerated it's nuclear program as a direct response to the US threat of invasion, it's unwillingness to negotiate, and it's (President's) expressed views of hatred of the Korean regime.
Bush listed three countries in his "Axis" The easiest to topple was Iraq. I hear that hasn't worked out too well, but if it would have I believe Bush would have pushed on to Tehran. If that were successful, well 2 down and 1 to go.

I don't see how historical records show when North Korea started (restarted) its nuclear program - they are a closed society. It does seem almost that the US presidential elections are already underway and the factions will say anything about each other.

He's said as much.
But what's even more interesting is that the current Iranian regime is purely responsive to American activity in the region. Prior to 2005, the Iranian government was progressive, peaceful, pro-West, didn't support any known terrorist organizations, and had no nuclear program.
But in 2005, in response to American agression in the region, the Iranian people got scared, and elected a hard-line fundamentalist who would stand up to the threat posed by the American military. So, Bush got Ahmadinejad elected....

for someone who doesn't like Bush, I think you give him too much credit.....thinks a bit harder at possible reasons these 'civilizations' want nuclear power...you alluded to part of it in your closing - shiite/sunni - try thinking, compiling facts, going over history, it is so easy to blame Bush for everything (or Clinton)....when, in reality it really is a convenient blame game and a easy way out.
