What better way to promote a religion than to hang the threat of eternity in a hot, dark, BAD place if you do not subscribe to said set of beliefs? Politely remind this girl that the bible also says not to judge and to love thy neighbor. Breaking one's religious article hardly sounds loving.
If what you are doing is not physically or emotionally damaging the (seemingly willing) participant, what business is it of anyone else? If you are an inherently good person (we're all human, best we can do is try), I don't think you'll have to worry about slipping into a life of pure evil because you've read someone's palm. Bad habits die hard--think of why we still bless people when they sneeze. It's all a bunch of scare tactics rooted in times of much simpler logic.

The three wise men who followed a 'star' to find Jesus were Astrologers.
Also, the revelations are riddled with astrological symbols and terms.
Many Christian religions believe that divination is evil because the Bible was translated by people of temporal power before the idea of the seperation of Church and State. Some of the same words in the original language of both the Old Testamant and New were translated with different meanings to keep the power in the hands of these people. Organized Christian religions believe that they are the intermediary between you and God whereas a Mystic believes in a personal experience of God.

I would ask a religious authority in the christian church. I am
pretty sure there is a verse in the bible regarding this. Ask
a pastor. Also, a note to the guy that says there is no devil;
you may be sitting in Hell saying, "Gosh, what an idiot I was.
Now I'm in eternal damnation because I was too hard-hearted
to love Jesus."
I think people don't realize they are "temporarily" here on earth,
whereas God is everlasting. He has always been and will always
be- in the infinite universe. Who hung the moon and stars,
created the changing seasons and order of the days & nights???? Would those people prefer chaos of Hell?
Jesus gives the peace that passes understanding.

It depends on the context. Although, what do you mean by "indirectly accused"? Are people saying this about you behind your back, without you knowing? For example - if a fanatical "Christian conspiracy theorist" accused you of being "demon possessed by religious devils" - because you are Catholic, it would be best not to engage them. If it is an agnostic/atheist, then it is probably tongue in cheek/lame attempt at being funny. If it is by another Catholic, then it is also probably tongue in cheek/lame attempt at being funny. If it is by a Catholic priest, then it is probably because you are about to receive an exorcism (although they would have to be extremely misunderstood to phrase it like that). So it would also be tongue in cheek/lame attempt at being funny. But if it is coming from a Canadiens fan, they are probably saying it because you are a Bruins fan (and Catholic). Etc.

Ignorance is the driving factor of all people who believe those things to be the devils work. Kindly ask this girl to mind her own business, unless she has become god and is in a position to judge all others.

The Bible has a few verses condemning spiritistic practices. That's what palm reading, tarot card, astrology are. They are not gifts from God. The Bible will provide a more complete answer to your question.

Anything not of God is of the devil. This is very dangerous and I'd leave it alone.

there is no such thing as "the devil", or "demons"
i guess what these people mean was that, those "tools" steer people away from religions, so they were / are just trying to defend their market share
