and it is not one of her two front teeth...is this abnormal? She has her bottom two teeth already, but I would have though the top two would have come in next, but this is definitely to the side of her bottom teeth!

Hey hon,
Yes perfectly normal, every child is different. Information that was given to me when I had my son said he'd get his teeth in a certain order, but he didn't follow that order at all!

Hope this helps!

I believe there is no set pattern of teeth coming in. It varies for each child. I have an 11 month old. At 8 months she got her 2 bottom middle teeth at the same time, shortly after she got her bottom tooth to the right of the middle ones. About a month ago she got her top right tooth (the one to the right of the middle ones), and now at pushing 11 months old she is getting 3 top ones at the same time!(the two middle and the left one of the middles).

Don't worry, mine had his two bottom ones, one after the other, then three of the top 4 came out at the same time ( it was a crazy couple of weeks) then, came one of the bottom ones, then came the last of the 4 top ones. So, i guess there is a rule, but there are exeptions. If you are too worried, ask your pediatrician.

Good luck

Not typical, but not abnormal. I wouldn't worry. My daughter's first tooth was the top front one and she had no others...we called her "snaggletooth" for a long time. It wasn't the usual pattern of coming in but she has all her teeth now and she is fine.

My son's teeth didn't come in the order I thought they would either. I'm sure that it is fine and that the front teeth will probably come in soon. It will look a little funny for a little while but a cute funny.

There is no particular order. Most commonly they get the 2 front first but that doesnt mean shes abnormal if shes not. Actually i think my niece cut one off to the side before her 2 front. Dont worry.
