i had 2 different names, but someone said they saw my IP address was the same... can someone really find out my IP address?.. is there a tool law enforment is equipped with?..

They probably saw it in an IM conversation, it isn't that hard to get from the packets IM sends out.

I think maybe I.M. would be the more likely snitch.
When you are sending a message it may be included in the header....or whatever.
Exposing it is another story. There are little scripts that can reveal the ip of people, i forget how to set it up.

The tool is called an I.P. sniffer. Anyone can download one and your I.P. was found using messenger.

You can usally check up most ip's from here http://www.dnsstuff.com/ To Know what your own IP is go to http://www.whatismyip.com/
