No, I think it's the other way around. People are too stupid to answer. You should try making your questions less complicated. For instance, you used proper grammar in your question. That, in itself, is going to deter 95% of the people who answer questions on Yahoo! Answers. Try using more "web spelling" and I'm sure you'll find more people responding to your questions.

I don't know what your last question was, but I look a long time for questions to answer. I like to answer the ones I can identify with or have knowledge about.
I ask a question the other night, and I only got 4 answers. None of them help 2 were sarcastic, 1 did not even relate to the question and the other was a single word, and it was spelled wrong.

With 12% of your answers being "best answers", you are better at answering questions than asking them. I don't think this service is for having pen pals, so maybe you could try asking questions about things other people will benefit by reading the answers you get.
