i get a chemical peel once a week, not the kind that leave you scarred for a week, but it's an unbelievable difference still. i do know people who have gotten the major peels, and say it works, you've just got to stay home for a while for sure. also there are skin lighteners for hyperpigmentation. . .dark spots. . that work pretty well too. best thing is to go to a reputable place, get a facial, and ask as many questions as you can think of. i know a few good ones, in chicago land, but don't know where you are from. good luck hope that helped?

There are some good treatments that can be pursued that have a good success rate, but there are also a lot of products on the market that are unproven. It is important to focus on what works for back Acne scars. The first treatment that should be tried is an over-the counter topical cream. A cream containing cortisone will help reduce the size of the scars if they have a tendency to swell. Cortisone cream is well proven to reduce inflammation. There are also creams that are designed to take the color out of the scar. They do not actually remove the scar but act similar to a cosmetic. However, the scar is not being covered up. The cream simply works to soften the color of the scar so that it blends in better with rest of the skin. This solution is often a good bet as back Acne scars tend to fade away over time on their own. If this does not happen, the next step is to consider laser removal. Laser removal is as close to a back Acne cure that there is. A dermatologist with the proper laser equipment will be able to remove the scars with only a few treatments. Often, it can be done with only one laser session if there are only a couple of scars. Laser treatment accomplishes two things. The scar is removed and the skin is stimulated to produce collagen that fills in the resurfaced area. Sometimes scars can be deep, and upon removal, there is an indentation on the skin. A dermatologist will be able to use filler material by injection to create a normal surface area where the scar once was.
